Trance sucks

but this piece is very danceable!
I don't like the piano in it though.
It changes the mood too much.
Your effects were cool and its better than most stuff on here.

Good

Same thing that bloodhownd666 said, seems like you put some time into it. The piece is fluid and catchy to a lot of people I'm sure. I like some of the instrumentation. I'm giving you a reasonable score, one that resembles your place in music. Frankly it needs to be more original to stay with people.

Send me a PM with a link to a song that sounds anything like "CraZe" and then I will actually consider thinking about any of the stuff you wrote.

Butterfly Voice in E major Butterfly Voice in E major

Rated 2 / 5 stars August 15, 2007

it's alright

i mean the composition is alright, but there's like almost no emotion. its kind of boring because your chordal style is really repetative. but the melody is lacking, i hope you can see this.

this sounds like a traditional anime composition, no offense. japanese anime style: it's not bad- you should start studying more emotional music if you really want to write for people. i'm sure they're impressed. the real composers aren't. hell as u can see i'm not impressed either.

i truly recommend for your progress in music to listen to more grieg copland rachmaninoff goldsmith. because these men were the creators of new emotional music that consist of easy listening and hollywood. or popular composers of our age: since you're having trouble with melody, John Williams. even uematsu or hisiashi. kondo is a mere melodist. i think people will be more impressed by you if you work in the area of emotion especially in new asian style. i can see potential for you in writing songs for loved ones.

p.s. dude chopin is my main man though. i would be nowhere without him or his influences

Winterwind-NS responds:

no emotion and repetitive chordal style - that really hurt. the first A theme has popular progressions in it. the b theme has a lot of key changes and rough dissonance which i utilized in order to put in the most emotion possible.
I do indeed listen to much rachmaninoff and grieg, not so much american composers tho. Uematsu, Kondo, and Hisiashi focus too much on the catchiness of ther music which a great way for them to avoid ppl realizing the ridiculous simpicity in the piece's foundation.
Did u really make an account just to leave this review? Nice attempt at seeming cordial.

iono, ppl seem to like the melody in my piece. Id love to hear wut u have to contribute to music.
